the engine light came one 5 days ago, first the engine started choking at 6000rpm. second the engine light came on.
when i turn the car off, light goes out then it turns on when I step on it. and it starts again.

so... yr check engine light comes on during vtec?? could only be one of two things... did you check the blinking fluids? and if that's not it, it is most likely your vtec fluids.. Make sure those are full, if they are not... yr motor can be damaged very severly.

 

go to cspeedracing.com and check your code it give directions how to do it
