Default How hard to install power door locks???

If I wanted to install power door locks into my 95 dx would it be easier to use stock honda ones or go out and buy an aftermarket kit? Im installing an alarm soon an would really love to have key less entry with my setup.

thanks
Drew

well first of all you have to run wires into the door. how comfprtable are you doing that? Second yoyu have to install the auctuator itself which isn't really that bad. The only really bad part is running the wires for the door locks. Or you could use yourspeaker wire and some diodes. But that is usually more trouble then it's worth.

stock ones are easy to put on just 2-3 screws and about 3 wires

How reliable are the stock ones? Meaning would it be safe for me to go to my local junkyard and pick up a set from an hold 92-95 civic?

the actuators cost about 20 bucks. do you have an alarm? if so best buy will do them for 70 a door with the actuator and they will warranty their work.

I installed a set of reverse polarity actuators and it turned out to take so much longer than I expected with wiring the relays with the alarm, and getting a good mounting area for the actuator itself without interfering with the door panel. Sounds simple but can be a pain in the ***.
