For the local ITR owners in that area what are the good spots to hit there? Car shops, R/C hobby stores, restaurants, clubs.

Also while I'm at it, I'm looking for Sprint Hart CP-R's ITR application in 16" or 15". I have no luck find them up here in Canada. Any help to find them down there on my visit are greatly appreciated.

 

I'm kinda near where you'll be at. I'll be in San Francisco if you want me to show you around a bit. There isn't that much to do in San Jose Milpitas. Make sure you stop at "Speed Ring" and get in some indoor go karting.

Is speedring the one in Fremont? If so, it's a must to go there. Very inexpensive and well worth the visit.

 

The one in Fremont I believe is a different one. I forgot the name. I think it's Le Mans Racing or something to that effect. Both are fun. Just don't inhale the fumes too long.

Hmmmmm.......whose down for a go karting meet??? That would be the ****!!!!

 

Yeah Speed Ring and the other one in Fremont would be a fun place to hit up. As for clubs, there is a bunch of them in SF, all kinds of clubs (trust me on this one, its SF).

You can check out Dave and Busters on Friday/Saturday nights in Milpitas (Great Mall).

As for Hobby Shops and Jdm Supermarket , check out DJ Hobby Shop in Campbell and Mitsuwa also in Cambpell/Saratoga.

Oh yeah dont forget to go to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz

There aren't really any great car shops up here I would say.

Awesome guys I'll check out Speedring in Santa Clara for sure. Downey IM me your real name. If Downey's your real name please don't take offence most people use aliases. I love to go kart. San Fran yeah I know it's where it's at. I have a rental car I planned to drive over there because last time I didn't have a chance to check out Ripley's Believe it Not museum near the pier. Also I coudn't visit the Golden Gate bridge because of all the tree huggers were blocking the streets when the this year's Gulf war broke out.

Sheldons Hobbies yeah I remember seeing ads in RCCA and in the yellow pages for them I'll go there, mapped it out only about 6 minutes away from Embassy Suites in Milipitas. Any ITR car rentals out there? I gotta ask NorCal is an affluent area there may be such a place that I don't know of that rent ITRs.

theres also a lotta bars/clubs in downtown san jose if you don't feel like driving all the way to SF.

 

If you are in the Daly City area, check out RC Tech, it's close to the Krispy Kreme and In and Out restaurants.

 

You might want to check out the American Le Mans Series at Laguna Seca, Monterey 9/5 -9/7 it's only 70+ miles away ...

 

Yup RC Tech is what I was talking about. They got everything. Mostly HPI oriented. But it's a good store with a bunch of good guys.

alot of drivers from ALMS and F1 came to Speedring today. for a fund raiser. i got to go out on the track and race Roger Foo, Ken Dobson, Michael Galati, and Randy Pobst. it was the most fun race ive ever had just knowing that im racing some professional dudes.

i finished 1st with 2 other employees 2nd and 4th. i got a best lap time of 29.032 seconds. Roger ran 29.9, Ken ran 29.7 and Michael and Randy were running low 30's.
now i can say i beat roger foo!! hehe yeah!
