sorry to bug you turbo guys. i can't figure out what the problem is. i could only get up to 1 to 2lbs of boost on my car. i checked all the piping and everything was on tight. i checked the wastegate and it seems to be fine. i checked to see if it was the boost controller and it wasn't. i turned the boost controller off and it should have at least boosted to what the spring rate of the wastegate was, which is .4 bar. so at this point, i am stumped. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance!
check ur vacuum lines..... u might have them backwards. Also what type of BOV do u have? Does it have two vacuum or one of them... I need a little bit more info on ur setup to help u. Please reply with some details
thanks
P.S.
I had the same problem once. It turned out to be a boost leak before the boost controller.

i ran in to the same problem with my tial wastegate....they told me that the .4 was the smallest spring for the 38mm...so i said i want the smallest....and i ended up getting a .2 bar spring.....but u said that u were making boost b4 right
hahahaha
I had the same exact problem.. and it gave me a headache for several months
i have .4 bar spring and only ran .1 .2 bars
so what i did was get a bike pump with home depot material to make my own piping/manifold leak test..you take the intake off the turbo compressor and put the homemade tester on.. i was leaking so much air that i couldn't even find it using a bike pump.. so i had to use a air compressor to find the leak.. and boy did I hear a loud hissing noise...

and guess what... it was leaking through the POS EGR unit so i threw that out and made a block off plate and blocked that POS

okay now i'm boosting but then i'm still getting a little leak.. and found another leak through the vacuum of the EVAP so i plugged that line up (right on top of the throttle body.) and now... NO MORE BOOST LEAK PROBLEMS!
also check all your vacuum lines to see if they're cracked or not.. and it would be recommended that you get your boost source from your intake manifold rather than the turbo nipple for your wastegate so you'll get the actually pressure
goodluck man
