Default Motor swap is 99% complete!

Well, I took the LS/VTEC out yesterday because I got a very good price for it from a guy needing a new motor. I picked up a low milage, awesome condition B18B swap to replace it. It also has a new CM Stage3 clutch on it. The swap itself went very smoothly (axles were a bitch to install) and it started up as soon as I threw the battery on a jumper cable. Now she cranks as soon as I hit the starter. It stills throws a CEL because a) I didnt install my o2 sensor for the exhaust manifold yet (dont have a wrench big enough to do it) and b) I'm using a chipped p28 for a day or so since I dont have an obd1 P75 yet.

We're installing a NOS kit tomorrow for those weekend trips to the track so I won't feel bad for selling my high compression ls/vtec.

Thanks. I'm pretty proud since this is the first swap I've done by myself. I've done others, but I've always had somone with more experience helping. So this was a personal goal im glad I got to reach.

I am having a friend help install the nitrous tomorrow though, but because I've never done that install before. So I'd rather let somone who knows what they are doing deal with it.

Well, good news: She runs!

It's running very strong despite a couple of kinks needing to be worked out. When I first took it out, I was using a chipped p28 and got horrible results. I was sputtering real bad at partial throttle. I switched it to a P06 (civic DX ecu) and that fixed the sputtering. Now I just have a terribly low Redline

I noticed a tiny bit of backfiring when I pulled in the driveway at low rpms. I'm still throwing a CEL, which I havent checked yet.. but I suspect its because of the DX ecu I'm running right now. I'm still working on getting an obd1 P75.

But on a lighter side, the CM Stage 3 clutch ROCKS! It's still almost as soft as stock, but jesus.. it hooks up. I can chirp 4th with it

And I picked up a NOS kit, B&M FPR and B&M FP Gauge today as well. So that should be installed sometime this week to make me feel ok about ditching the ls/vtec.

I dont consider myself an expert on motors at all, but if anyone has any questions just let me know.
