Default I don't know **** about alarms systems!

Hey guys, I don't know anything about car alarms. I have been looking into getting one for my car and it is getting difficult. There is alot to choose from. I have been looking at a matrix rs3, however, it is pretty expensive ($400+). I don't need all of the bells and whistles and crap, I just need something relatively simple.

I don't need remote start. remote power windows or whatever crap is out there. I would like something with keyless entry and a two way pager remote.

Other than that as long as my car is protected that is all that I am looking for.

I am hoping that somebody with a good deal of knowledge can help me out by suggesting a system that would suit my needs.

I know that some of my wording probably is not correct, but that is covered in the topic "I don't know ****!" Can somebody please help me. Security is a big thing for me but I don't want to get hung up on nitpicking which system is better.

Thanks in advance guys.

If you think u don't need a good alarm system, u are mistaken.

The Matrix R3 is a ok unit, the pager unit is ok, but the rang isn't all that, and it dosn't really come with everything you need

U can go with the knock off units
like the Viper 790 VX and the Python 880(something) they are the same units, they just come with the basic stuff
2-Way Remote Alerts users to security system triggers by Beeping
or Vibrating,4 channels
5 zones
Flashing L.E.D. light
Valet switch

Thats Not much, i would get a extra kill switch, get a tilt sensor, get a custom fuel cut off line, and a glass sensor. The best way to not get jacked is more Security, the more you have the better off you are.
Club Twin Hook
Autolocker
No Door Locks
Low Jack

I would go with a unit like that, check on ebay, i bought a viper 790VX fro 260 bucks and installed for 50 bucks from my firend.

Cool. Thank you!

I already have:
"The Club"
Custom fuel cut-off switch

Still want more security though.

Go to http://www.directed.com and look up the alarm there. They have a bunch of different names for their alarms (*for advertising*) but when you compare the parts piece by piece, they are identical to one another.

Just stick alarms made by this company(DEI) and you will be fine. They make the best alarms on the market and most of their alarms are backed up with a lifetime warranty.

Check out this alarm info. http://www.all12volts.com/

You will need to search a little but anything you could ever need to do with an alarm is on those pages. If its its not someone there can help you too.
