Hey guys, I just had a question on installing an in-tank fuel pump. I just got a stock DSM one, and wanted to swap it for my existing one. I have a '94 GSR hatch by the way. I know the fuel tank is underneath the car and there are access panels right around where the rear seats are, but just wanted to be sure as to how to remove the fuel pump assembly. Do I actually need to remove the rear seats? (looking at the procedure in the Helms manual makes it seem kinda tedious), or can I simply access it through the panel without removing the seat? Also, is that peice of 5/16" hose all that holds the pump into the assembly? Well, any help on this install would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
IIRC you not only have to remove rear seat cushions but you need to drop the tank.
Removing rear seat cushion can only get you to fuel gauge sensor which tell you how much fuel is in the car.
