Default Help with how to shave side moldings

Im trying to get some advice from some people that have shaved there side moldings on there EF's. Im kinda tripped up on how to make it look smooth and make all the lines flow together, since the bottom sticks out more the the top of where the molding was removed . Any help would be great.

fiberglass, sand down fiberglass to make even. make sure door opens and nothing interferes... use bondo to smooth out...

What about the holes in the door where the clips were at? Thanks for the info so far.

if you plan on shaving the molding to be flush with your door, then you don't have to worry about the holes. just make sure you spend more time smoothing out the fiberglass before applying the bondo...fiberglass is key
