I'm pretty sure it works as long as its an OBD I P28 or P72. JDM and USDM shouldn't matter.

First recommended ECU would be the P28; it is still relatively easy to get for cheap and easily chipped. Ask Hondata what they recommend-they are pretty helpful guys.

ODB1 are '92-'95 ECU's that have less emissions crap. ODB/OBDI/OBDII all have different connectors and a jumper is need when an OBDI ecu is used in an OBDII/OBD car and vice versa. OBD/OBDI ECU's can be easily rechipped while OBDII ecu's sux monkey turds. P28 doesn't have the idiot light knock sensor or butterfly controls so it is an excellent choice for a single plane(non OEM GSR) intake.
