still having clutch problems
WEll, after bleeding the clutch and changing the tranny fluid my car is still having a real problem going into gear. It is nearly impossible to shift into gear, more when the car is in motion. The clutch travels all the way but it only feels like there is pressure at the last 10% or so. Ive been reading the archives and how would you discern the problem either being from the slave cylinder, master cylinder, pressure plate, clutch or flywheel? Also, will the clutch/ flywheel/ pressure plate from a 5th gen h22a fit on a 94 VTEC?
Hmmm, when I bled my 92 Si I had the same problem. It took me a good 10 minutes (not an exageration either) of straight pumping the clutch pedal until I got some constant pressure throughout the clutch pedal stroke.
I am willing to bet you need to bleed it more. If bleeding more does not fix the problem I would have to believe it is a bad clutch master or slave cylinder.
Yes, the clutch and PP from a 5th Gen will fit your car. If you find out that you do need new parts I have a clutch master and slave cylinder, JDM H22 OEM clutch plate and pressure plate. Let me know if you need any of these parts.
Hope it is only a case of needing to be bled more. Good luck.

yah, thanks man, me and kevie88 on this forum bled it but it still seems to do the same thing. I pumped it about 6 times and then hold it down and then he would open up the nipple, then I'd pull the clutch up and pump another 6 times and he'd bleed it. Did this about 8 times or so I think...kinda lost track!! haha
Also, if there was a leak somewhere or a hole, would that necessarily mean that I would be losing fluid?

I'm willing to bet your problem is in the bleeding process.
In the Honda service manual, it details out how to do it, and the key part of pumping the pedal is to do it SLOWLY. If you watch your clutch master cylinder, with the cap off, it is only the last 10% or so of the up stroke that the fluid actually drops, meaning it goes into the line. In order to get it to do that, you need to let out or pull up the pedal slowly to get that teaspoon or so of fluid into the line per pump. I had my dad hold open the bleeder valve as I pushed the pedal down, and then closed it when I pulled the pedal up, which is when it sucks in the fluid from the master cylinder. It took AT LEAST 30 or 40 pumps of the pedal to totally bleed the line and slave cylinder until no more air came out, and it was clean fluid, meaning all new fluid in the lines. You will have to top off the master cylinder during the process before your done.
