i have 88 crx si with a stock engine in it. i put $10.00 in the tank which filled it up to full. now i am empty almost with only 200 miles from my fill up. meanwhile, i got my oil changed last week and the tech said i only had about a quart left?? so what is wrong with my engine? should i get a new one?

 

how much miles on the engine ? does it leak oil or burn oil ?

 

154,000 and does leak very little oil and i believe burn too.

 

what engine is that? d15? If so, you can get a couple for free in the classifieds right now....

Was that topping it off? Ten bucks might get me 4 gallons out here in cali. Sometimes your tank will register full, but actually have room for more. Just a thought.

yea but still that low fuel to milage rate? i think i might just start looking for another engine.
