GSR tranny S80 Y80?

is usdm GSR tranny S80 or Y80
and are yrs separate the tranny code
is there way to prove wat tranny it is
thx for the help

It can be both, but i think the majority of GSRs had the S80, my JDM Si (GSR equivalent has a Y80 with LSD) check out here for all the years/codes.... http://ff-squad.com/Bgears.htm

i think y80's came on 96up, i know my 95 has an s80, but my dudes 00 had a y80.
