Default Pistons

when going with a OEM CTR CAMs set up on a jdm b18c, which pistons would be best: Soon balanced JDM ITR, USDM ITR or Civic Type R pistons. Im trying to keep everything OEM with a decent HP and TQ and hopefully a mid to low 1/4 time with I/H/E.

CTR Will give the highest CR (12:1 or somthing like that). So I guess those would be the best for power if you tune it well. Spoon balanced ITR pistons aren't really worth the $$$...

is this a street car or race car? 12:1 i think is high for street i would try to aim around 11:8 and below I am planning to use JDM ITR piston oversize and shot-peened my rods with all new bearings tuning is gonna be key

IS this a a jdm type R motor 11:1 or JDM GSR motor 10:6 either way your stock bottom end is pretty good you don't need to swap out piston just mill the head and run thin head gasket

its a JDM GSR. Its gonna be daily driven so if a 12 compression is too high then i want somthing milder but still making a noticeable difference.

if your looking for under 12:1 then go with a JDM ITR piston.
