I was told if u push down on the strut and it comes back up very slowely it is bad, is this true??

 

Totally wrong....if you push down hard and let up, good struts will rebound once and maybe a little shake....bad struts will allow the car to keep bouncing. There is no way a car will rebound "slowly" as you say, because the spring pops it right back up....

 

You can also have a seized strut where it wont bounce at all, but what Ef ***** sid is true, it will bounce like a caddy.

uhh the springs and struts are not on the car, so yes when i push down on them they slowely come back up, so whats up with that

 

If you have the strut off the car and you push it in it should come back out. If you push it in and it stays in it's bad.

 

Yes they are blown or very close to it they should come right back up quickly not slow.
