The Thrill of Victory....
Well, for the first time since last April, I found myself on the top step of the podium this weekend. It's been a tough year for me, with my not-so-welcome one year hiatus from the sport thanks to a bunch of kids who wanted some of my parts (without paying for them) and a new car that was a bit... tempermental. However, now I have finally triumphed over adversity, and come out on top. It wasn't an easy battle mind you, it took true perserverence, and a will of steel. It took the vision of what can only be described as a pure-blooded racer, along with the dedication of a strong human being.
Sure, things were not perfect. I had 1/3rd of an inch toe out on each of my rears, but the guys at the alignment shop couldn't brake the adjusting bolts free, so I had to race like that. Then again, the true mark of a racer is the ability to overcome difficulties, and still rise to the top amongst his competition. A task that I met handlily, demonstrating not only my overwhelming skill, but also the "killer instinct" that separates me from the mere mortals. Yes, today I proved myself as a God among men, the creme of the crop, the best out there on the grid. Today I returned to the place where an overwhelmingly talented racer such as myself cannot avoid - being the best. Today I took H1 by storm, expecting no less than the absolute best, and I achieved it. Today I was a winner!!!
Oh, by the way, I was the only H1 car there.

I knew that was coming. You built it up too much, man!
Congrats on the win, and glad you had fun!

I was only doing low 1:08s. The car was so unstable with the toe out in the rear, I had to brake hard before the 2nd kink on the back straight. I also couldn't take 7 full throttle. With the right alignment and right size tires, I could probably break into the 1:06s, but I couldn't match the 1:05s you guys were doing. Not yet at least.

Good work? I was the only one there Todd. I didn't do a damn thing! LOL!
By the way, since I was the only H1 car, I requested to start at the back of the grid. Marhefka liked the idea, so he did the same. We went from 29th and 30th up to 13th and 14th! The only reason why I didn't do the same on Sunday was because I didn't want to have to deal with those #%@&ing Legends cars again.
