I'm helping my buddy do his turbo install on his SOHC VTEC, as well as redo all the rats nests of wiring that he has... He got a Blitz EGT gauge with the kit he bought, but it has no instruction manual... here's some pics... Can you help me figure out where everything goes?






I have already figured out the following:
Red & White wires that are loomed together are the EGT Probe Signal Wires

The rest of the wires that i'm not sure about are:
Yellow (12v Constant???)
Red (12v accessory???)
Black (Ground???)
Green (Illumination Signal??)
Grey (Illumination Ground??)
Now the Brown wire is the one thats confusing me a bit, because as you can see in one of the pics, its plugged into another connector, connecting it to the green wire... This gauge just has me sayin WTF!!??!?!

And as far as rats nest wiring goes, here's a pic of his radio wiring that i'm redoing right now... And yes it was inside the dash just like that...

 

My guess is all you hook up is the two powers and the ground.. brown looks like a jumper

Why would the gauge need a constant power though? Thats what I'm not sure of...

up up and up again! I cant read japanese, so blitz's website is no help...

 

what does the wiring look like that comes from the probe??? If i were to guess id say that red went to 12V, orange went to ignition, black obviously to ground, and white is usually illumination. There usually is no separate groung for the illumination, also some probes i think need to be powered believe it or not, so that may be the remaining wires. Can you post a pic of the probe??? it also looks like theres a pin missing, that may be the illumination wire as well. good luck the colors i told you are the same as greddy, defi, and hks...

 

the probe only has 2 wires on it... red & white, and they have the connectors on them... they are the only ones with the connectors, therefore, thats how i know they go to the 2 wires that are in the loom... Anybody have a definate on the rest of the wires?

try looking up the greddy instructions.. they are probably very similar if not the same guage.
