Default My VTEC x-over point w/ ITR cams

My mods are in my sig. I am getting ITR cams installed on friday. along with STR cam gears. I was wondering what I should put the vtec crossver at? I am going to the dyno but I wanted to just change it so Im not kicking in at 4600 like I have in my VAFC right now. I don't need an exact match obviously because its tough to say over the internet what my car should crossover at (thats for the dyno). But around what should I place it around. I've had a few guys tell me about 5000rpms or so. Just wanted some opinions from you guys. Thanks

I think youll want it more around 5500-5800, but I'm not sure.

u really just want the cross over to be as smooth as possible, some cross over dips ive seen are pretty bad. But i think something around 49-52 would work well !!
it will aslo depend on the person doing the tunning!

my vtec used to be at 5100rpm.. although you can make power with lower vtec point, around 5100-5300rpm should give smooth transition and midrange gains..

Smoothest crossover before and after dyno tuning was 4900 rpm in my old '94 GS-R.... R cams, AEM gears, VAFC, B&M FPR.

friends gsr with ctr cams runs a 4600 vtec x-over.
i have a 4700 x-over with ctr cams.
but we both use stock gsr manifolds...so your x-over might be totally different than ours

I have CTR cams in my GSR (1994) and just through the butt dyno , figured 5400rpm seems to be the best position, but it also depends on what mods have been done, i only have i/h/e and test pipe, i set it at 5600rpm and found the car bogged considerably just below that so moved it to 5400rpm and its a much smoother transition with no bogging. I hope to get it on a dyno soon and have it set up properly (field SFC)
