PRO-DRIVE Competition Products at 6530 Alondra Blvd. Paramount, CA 90723 http://www.prodriveusa.com are manufacturers of superior strength Honda transmission and drive train components including drive spools, final drive gears, and hub and axel kits. PRO-DRIVE will be the major sponsor of the number two car, providing transmission and final drive gears, CV joints, hubs, axels and drive train components for testing and evaluation throughout the coming season and into 2004.
"We intend to use the second car initially as a backup car for the teams driver Jeff (Kiwi) Owen in both the NASA Honda Challenge and U.S. Touring Car Championships, and as a showcase for all of our sponsors products. The car will be competing at as many events as possible and will also be driven at some events by our Crew Chief Rich Hays, as well as other deserving drivers. The new car will also be on display at several car shows throughout the season." Said team owner Don Wilson. "We have two more Type R rolling chassis at the shop which will eventually become the teams third and fourth rental racers" he said.
"Our involvement in Touring Car Racing is to the extent now where we are competing in up to three different Championships. It is no longer just for fun - For me it's a full time job. A job I love nevertheless, Building and maintaining two cars, as well as driving competitively at events all over the country, takes a huge amount of time and money. It would be impossible to compete at this level without the continuing support of our team owner Don Wilson, and all of our Sponsors" said team driver Jeff (Kiwi) Owen.
