Default To all the "real" Type R's

Just want to rant about something really dumb.

What do you think about those guys that slap TypeR stickers all over their LSs?

I keep seeing this one ride around town, a done up white 4-door with altezzas, kit and rims with R stickers in their usual placements. I mean, I don't mind rice and all (I have a riced out Integra RS too) but who do you think you're fooling? Don't you think you look foolish, especially when a REAL R pulls up beside you? And don't you know that most car enthusiasts know that it's not an R?

IMO the fakes would get more respect if they didn't try to be something they are not.

I don't mind at all. It doesn't bother me.

I do things to my car that others won't approve of (either cosmetic or performanced based), but as long as you are satisfied with what you do with your car, thats the bottom line from my perspective.

I think they are dumb as hell..

Just to make their car "look like" ITR , they have to waste alot of money.

front lip, stickers, CW paint( for example). why not just get real one?

BUT: TO EACH HIS OWN.

I GUESS it's okay, just not in my book. You can have the 5lug swap, lip, motor, seats, doors, roof, steering wheel and I still wouldn't think the R stickers belonged on the car.

Sometimes I agree but there are exceptions...

My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

But What I do mind is when I hear one of those wannabe's trying to tell someone with no clue that they really have an R. LOL I went to a Car Show in OC and there was this guy with a Silver Integra and he was trying to pass it off as an R with all the Usual Stickers. This guy had Racing Seats and Lots of other "TYPE R" Items ie, Shift ****, Mats and little blue LEDs all throughout the car. To be quiet Honest the car did look nice. But I heard him telling this other guy how it was a real R etc etc. I didn't want to be to direct so I said politely, "I didn't know they made the R in Silver." He went on to say that there were "SOME" Made and that they are VERY Rare. LOL I was trying so hard not to laugh. and if I didn't know better he was pretty convincing. Had an explaination for just about everything. The conversation swung around to what Kind of car I drove. I showed him my car. (2001 PY) he went to inspect my car from head to toe. He wanted me to show him the engine etc etc. I said What for? you seen one you seen them all. Then he was asking me to take him for a ride. LOL Someone told me later that he had a B18b with a painted red valve cover. Now that is what I don'T like

You can take a car and drop an R engine in there and put as many sticker decals and all you want on the car for all I care. Just don't LIE and say it's real if it is not.
Well I do get pretty annoyed when someone puts Type R in a Ford. But that's just down right DISGUSTING.

It doesnt bother me that much. I have people tell me my car is fake even when I tell them its not. I just laugh and agree with them. Some of the cars running those fake Type R stickers I think is because of ignorance. They see it at Pep Boys and think it is like a name brand or something. Its not only Type R stickers though, its also the GT-R badge. The other day I even saw one on a Ford Focus.

Does other ppl put Type R badge on their LS make you less special to drive an R?
haha. admit it,

anyways. these ppl are fans of Type R. and u should be happy, just like why some dress up like their celebrities. for the exact reason.

It makes me laugh out loud. Do these people want others to think that they actually have an 'R' ? Or do they think that it looks "cool" ? Like Shrek says " do you think he's compensating for something?".

I tickles me when I see one, but honestly I could care less. It's not my car and it's not my money.
