IAC making noise.....
I have heard of some people using the wrong connectors, as in plugging the tps connector on the iacv. Check that first.
All the iacv has in it is a dc motor and the shutter assembly.

I checked the wire color. it's yellow/black and black/blue. 2 wires for the IACV. My TPS has 3 wires. I am possible the plug is correct. does the intake manifold need a ground? From my understanding, 1 wire is 12+v the other is signal from ECU. so there must be a negative.. which I believe is the body itself grounded to the IM. just a thought.
Then how about the MAP, IAT, or the purge solenoid connectors. You are correct the IM is the ground. Just make sure it is the correct one!
Have you cleaned the IACV? It might just be stuck and what you hear is the motor straining to move the baffle. When you clean it try to keep the motor part of it up so the carb cleaner doesn't go into the motor.

yup. everything is right. I just checked the IAC according to the helms and it clicks. wires are good, IACV is good. swapped the IACV and it hums a little less. In a way, i think my ECU is dead because using either, i still can't start the car. I did pull the ECU from my previous car that had a fire in the engine bay. maybe it's shorted.
