BEEP BEEP BEEP, my car won't stop beeping!!!
Anyone know why my car would keep beeping for no apparent reason? all the doors are closed, I am buckled up, I even have the passenger seatbelt buckled up... it's still doing it!!! HELP
My buddy had that problem, he would have to open the door back up, then turn off the ignition, close the door and restart it. He never found the problem, it just went away after a long time. Really annoying. This was on a 91 DX.
my car does the same thing sorta, my door beeper will come on when i hit bumps and then stay on... i still dont know the problem
mine did it also. one of my friends disconnected something and it stopped, it was on the roof, in front of the mirror. its that little cover for the seatbelt thing. just open it up and disconnect something in it. sorry i wish i could be more helpful
Has anyone ever checked the door pin triggers? I mean, after all this is what opens the circuit to stop it from dinging/beeping...
I have seen several that would rust up, thus not allowing the interior light to come on. I guess it could also make the thing not shut up. I DID SEE ONE THAT HAD A LOT OF WATER IN IT! The water was keeping the circuit closed, even though the switch was open. Have any of these cars got a rusting problem? No offense, just looking for a common denomination.

this is a common problem???
omg... my 89 dx did this the other night. it was the weirdest thing. we were about to get out of the car -- pulled the ebrake, turned the car, lights, a/c off, and opened the doors all within about a minute and the beeping started. so i figured the lights were still on or the key was still in, but no. (my bf was driving)
tried shutting the doors n everything, but the only thing that worked was putting the key back in, turning it to the ON position, and then turning it off and pulling the key out. i thought it was just cuz we did everything so quick that the car thought the keys were still in or something...

I have the same problem on both my CRX's. My DD is an 89 DX, and the beeping comes from the seatbelt light above the rearview mirror. It only does it occasionally, but turning off the car and then turning it back on fixes the problem.
My 88 drag car started when I put my monster tach in. The beeping in it is a little more annoying. It beeps almost constantly, which as you can imagine, can be distracting when you're trying to race.
The problem has to be in the wiring somewhere. BUMP so someone will come along and tell us how to fix these beeping problems

mine did it to. i just unhooked the thing up by the rear veiw mirror. now i don't have anything to tell me my lights are on
.
at least i don't have that damn beeping noise...

it still beeps even after you put your seat belt on?? or you don't wear your seatbelt and you trick it by turning the car off and on???

for you people who's getting the beeping. Was the seatbelt light flashing on your gauge cluster? if so, Check your seatbelt sensor wire which is ran under your seat. Either it's disconnected or loose.
It happened to me.. All i did was tighten the connection and it was fixed.

just disconnect it from the review mirror, we had to do it on the race car.
It all started the second the belts came out, senor behind door jam, sensor under the seat, and ofcourse with CRX's the many sensors connected to the ten pounds of stuff
AJ "whats behind me, doesn't concern me"

I agree with this I've seen it myself.
You all can try unplugging the sensors underneath your seats as well, they tell the relays if anyone is sitting in the seat. I tried both methods.
Both work to stop the BEEP.
There is an electronic box bolted to floor with wires coming out of it that go to a connector that is attached to a wire inside the seat itself, this tells the relay that "something" is sitting in the seat. Just unplug the connector.
DO NOT CUT IT. HTH

it happend to mine when i took the setabelts out of the door. i had to put them back in a plug them up for it to stop beeping. guess your gonna have to rip apart the dash and find the beeper.
The beeper is loacted inside of the grey rearview mirror housing (where the seatbelt lights are). There is a circuit board up there which has the beeper soldered to it. You can either unplug the whole board or just cut the beeper off of it
. BTW its the thing shaped like a cylinder.
