so i have a 91 dx hatch which i am putting a d16z6 in it.reason being is because of vtec and plus this motor has alot of aftermarket parts in it.anywayz we drove the 95 hatch to my house took the motor out the car and swaped over all my dx parts(intake,headers,dizzy,wiring,sensors,)and when i put it in now it won't turn on!i've tried everything.doesn't work.last time i was trying to do this swap on my crx and same thing happend and i just ended up putting another dx motor in it.so can anyone help me in why it doesn't turn on?any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you dont the DPFI -> MPFI wiring yet? If not do that first.

 

it won't work without that done?i can't just slap on the dx stuff?or will it not provide enough fuel or something?or does it have to do with the rotation???? holy crap i hope thats not right cuz i'm going to feel very retarded

 

What ecu are you using? If you are using the VTEC ecu, then you will need to make wiring changes, such as MPFI wiring.

 

well since i'm keeping all the dx stuff than i'm also keeping the stock dx ecu and wiring the vtec to a vtec controller.

 

u are using all the DX stuff for now??
ok first... make sure u got the firing order right 1-3-4-2

then make sure when u put the dizzy thats it is on the right way... try moving the dizzy around when cranking.... u might have it off real time.....put the motor on TDC....open the dizzy cap.... the rotor should be pointing almost and or top of the #1 spark plug cable...(imagin the cap on and look at it to make sure the rotor its pointing where the #1 cable hole is )

if its not.... mvoe the dizzy until its close to what i just said

 

it is.i already checked that and i also swaped out the dizzy with an extra one i had laying around...i'm keeping the dx stuff for now atleast..i used to have the mini me on the dx manifold but now i wanted the whole assembly..let me know anything you guys and thanx for the help!
