MSD and Hondata

MSD and Hondata
Can you use the two together a guy I was talking to said that they do not work good together. I have the s200 system and an MSD 6a with a blaster 2 coil, should I take this out or is this guy full of it.

you can an msd if you have a distributor and coil pack dont use it if you have direct ignition but you should be able to use it because you have distributor I think and the hondata is not a icu you have an ecm

So if you have a distributerless ignition you can't use the two together. I think that this guy was feeding me some crap but was just wondering if he was on to something.
