Default Moroso distributor... worth the money?

i guess i have to get a new distributor for my car because mine is shot. I found 200 dollars for a rebuilt one with a lifetime warrenty from o reileys auto store. The shop i took it to said that those suck and to buy one from him, but he charges like 300ish for one. If im gonna pay 300 i thought why not pay just a lil more for the moroso one? Does it have any benefits?

I have heard that their is little you can gain from a non- oem distributor. I would stick with an oem distributor. Distributors are meant for the samething no matter what. That is to send a spark in a controlled order to your spark plugs. Whether you spend 500 or 200 for a stock one, they will do the samething. Don't waste your money. Drop that money into spark plug wires. 8.5mm spark plugs.

I went ahead and got the 200 dollar one. I put it in yesterday and the car runs great.
