Engine nosie with VAFC
Ever since I installed my VAFC about a month ago I have been getting ridiculous amounts of engine noise looped into my speakers. I am pretty sure that this is the result of using a dual ground system. As an EE grad I think that this was about the stupidest thing I have ever heard of as this is basically creating a "ground loop" which is the #1 cause of engine noise.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so were you able to resolve it? I could always just ground both grounds to the chassis, but that would result in incorrect voltages to and from the ECU (read: your VAFC could tell the ECU you are at 50% throttle but the ECU sees this as 45% throttle, etc).
Right now I have both grounds connected to the ground coming from the ECU about 6 inches apart (6 inches of 20 guage isnt enough to make a noticable ground loop) and I've STILL got the noise...
