egr code

My car is a obd1 and i got a check engine light today, I jumpered the ecu and it gave me the egr code. Is their any way i can eliminate the egr with a block off plate and not get an engine code.

No, the EGR can sense that it is plugged in and has vacuum, so you may not remove it. If you use a block plate you still leave everything connected like normal.
