Default 300zx or GSR/Type R

ok so i've been thinking about this for a while. i own a 93 300zx with 60k and a few mods. 2 of my friends have gsr's and i decided that i really really like vtec

what would you guys (owning integras) do in my shoes.

a)keep the Z
b)Screw the Z get a type R or Gsr (both are gonna be modded later anyway to make up for the speed difference)
c)mod the Z

all around reliable fast car. one that handels better than a good chunk and one that flies on the straights.
light to light racing is fun sometimes so yeah.

good acceleration, great handeling, good/great top speed, oh and its gotta feel solid

this in mind are there any other suggestions?

from what Ive seen, the Z handles like dogshit compared to my R. And my suspension is fuxored. my sister had a Z, but I didnt like it. Its two totally different worlds though. is your Z turbo? if it is then you might be disappointed with the max power you get out of a vtec motor. but handling wise, hype R hands down.

GS-R might be a fine choice then. ITR is a bit more raw and loud and not quite a luxurious of a street car.

93-95s? reliability is an issue for those that don't know what they are doing. (no offense, I meant that in relation to caring for a 13b-rew..)

i like the z.. its really all your choice.. i always wanted 300zx and like it a whole lot better than 350z.. of course, i'd rather have boosted r than any of these..

- get what j00 like.. type r - in stock form could be very reliable and last for long time like many other hondas..

If you're going to buy a Honda product my best suggestion is the 3rd Generation Integra GS-R.

A whole lot of people here will tell you to get the R, but that is not what I recommend. There is a lot of justifiable paranoia among R owners due to the car's appeal to ricers and theives. And not to come off as a snob, but unless you plan on taking the car to autocrosses or track events you probably won't get any more enjoyment out of the R than you would from a much cheaper, easier to find, less likely to be stolen GS-R.

Its all up to you man...take the gs-r for a test drive (a long one) ... as well as the ITR, if you havn't yet...see which you like better...If you test the R, get on a nice long road w/ lots of twisties...push her hard into the corners...ahh man I cant really describe it...just go drive it n see for yourself. anyways good luck w/ your decision
