Can someone tell me what could be the cause of no power when I turn on the ac? When moving off in 1st gear the car will not move until it slowly builds up speed. It feels like the gas is not getting to the where it needs too.

 

what year car is it...a/c takes up power anyway...also the wieght thats in the car matters

 

Since the compressor is driven by a belt off the engine....sounds like the bearings are siezing/siezed in the compressor. Does the A/C even work that well?

 

yes the AC does work. It works fine. Is there something that I can use to get the bearings to free up?

 

it's a 94 accord ex. I know that AC slows the car down, but if I am on a hill, I can't get up it with the AC on in first gear. I have driven my friends car and his is fine same year and model.
