Diamond: M6 vs. Hex
Has anyone auditioned the M6 and Hex component sets side by side? I'm particularly concerned about midbass response in a kickpane location to back up some MB Quart mids (hoping that they'll sound good together). Thanks!
I have auditioned both. ATF sells both also.
Midbass in kicks is difficult to get right unless you custom build the pods. How are you planning on setting up your system?

its funny when u guys refer to me as ATF. the way i see it is that ATF stands for Asian Task Force. so when u say ATF sells both, it looks like Asian Task Force sells both. so call me Kuk

Hey guys, My name is Mack and I work for Sound Waves in Memphis, Tn. I carry the Diamond audio line. The Hex mids are great for mid bass. We installed 4- 5 1/4 sets in an Excursion using the factory locations. The Mid bass was well defined and you could feel it! The M6 6 1/2 comp. has the abilty to put out mid bass with a clean amp behind them. The best sounding set up is in a 94 standard cab chevy truck. We install the Hex s500s in Q form kick panels, they were paired with the s6.0mx3 in the doors. The amp is a D7152 (150 x 2 rms). It sounded great. You could hear and feel 50 HZ, but a sub is needed to round the system out. Thanks, Mack
I have an amp which will power them, so more power is no problem. I'll probably back up the kickpanels with some fiberglass and deaden the metal bodypanel behind that.
Thanks for your feedback!
