For the past few weeks my car is throwing CEL, every 20+ min of driving. Everytime it throws a CEL, the car will run in limp mode, and its really slow. The only thing i know that causing this is a bad 02 senor.. Could it be? Help.

 

what cell is it throwing dood? did you do the count? let us know....

 

Why are you asuming it's the O2? Is that the code it's giving you?
Also, the engine WILL go into limp mode if it's throwing the code for the O2.

 

Ok, I just checked my ECU and it's throwing this code blink... pause(1.5 sec) blink(pause 1.5 sec) and it just keep doing that.. I try reseting the ECU and it will go away for a min or so and then it will come back again.. It sucks, because I loose major power.. I also changed my 02 sensor and it just keep doing the same thing. What gives?

it can't be your o2..... mine blinked faster non stop.... my o2 was out for 2 years while in storage... drove it hard every now and then and seemed to run better on the TOP end part even though it did consume more gas. LOL

 

Yeah,1 then a pause then a 1 again is Oxygen Content isn't it? Mine does it and I've got a new 02 sensor...didn't do it until after the MPFI swap though.

 

thats a code 1... it should be a flash thats quick. Most OBD0 ECUs dont do long blinks but if its a PR3, PR4 or PWO would be a code 10. Check sig and get your multimeter out and test the sensor and wiring....
