Default once again, cams with jrsc (a different take)

jr makes an s/c kit for the ITR.

According to JR, there are no cams that actually make power in conjunction with the jrsc (this was b4 the crane custom grind). The ITR cams actually lost 13 hp (tuned to -3 hp loss).

So technically, the jrsc isn't making as much power in an ITR as it is in a GSR.

Is this correct?

I'm waiting for my GSR jrsc to arrive, and looking into cams right now. I've always liked the ITR/CTR combo, but if I'm losing power, why bother? Could the different head porting, etc on the ITR be the secret to new cam power?

Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this subject.
Cheers!

Stick with the stock GSR cams. The blower wont like the more aggresive cams. JRSC ITR's seem to make less power because the unit only put out about 5-5.5psi due to the higher compression ratio of the R, according to JR.

There are people who have made over 200whp with the R kit, but only after carefully tuning the fuel mapping. The R ECU apraently run rediculously rich up high.

Good luck!

that's what I was hoping for (200 whp), and maybe turn up the boost when the IC comes out later this year.

I appreciate the info, and from your former ride, I guess you know

if anyone else has any ideas, opinions, etc. don't be shy.
