If i get lowering springs, do i need new shocks?

Default If i get lowering springs, do i need new shocks?

Me and a few friends are debating this. I say not right away since, even thought there is more load put on them from the lowering, they will wear only slightly quicker, which means that maybe in a year or two i will need new shocks. Am i wrong?!?!?

Depends on the drop, but I'd say your shocks will wear out sooner than a year.

I did..
if you lower the car too much you can destroy your stock shocks

I've seen lots of lowered cars on stock shocks, some slammed to the ground, but eventually, your stock shocks will go.
