Default serious problem after tranny fluid swap

well i decided to change my transmission fluid after reading the post about the gm synchromesh.

i drained the fluid and just could not get the fill hole bolt to open so i could fill it up. so i decided to go through the speedo sensor on top of the transmission.

take that off fill the transmission up with 2.5 qts of synchromesh. then put everything back together again.

start it up and it idles loudly, but steady. then CEL turns on. take my car for a ride and i cant get past 3300 rpm.

so i go to check the code, but the CEL only comes on when the car is running. when i turn the ignition on the CEL doesn't come on. so no flashing. i am going through everything and double checking but cant figure it out

any help would be appreciated.

why coudln't u get it open, it's so easy, even more easier than oil change... just use a hose and funnel to fill it up... go under the car to break open the filler bolt or even above,... my car is a 2000 civic ex.. what is yours?

I would double check and make sure your speed sensor is connected, torqued down correctly, its not loose, etc

I would bet money that the speed sensor is the code flashing.

Hook up the connector with the car running then and get the code. If you only messed with the VSS then I'm sure it has something to do with it.

no, not exactly. You may experience losses due to more friction in the drivetrain b/c the viscosity of the fluid is shot, but it's hardly something I think you'd notice.

UPDATE:
got another vss from honda junkyard, installed still same problem.

trying to check what code it is throwing but cant. the cel turns on then off when car is turned on. but when i start it the cel stays on no flashing.

i am using the paperclip technique into the plug behind the glove box. and nothing.

car will not let me rev past 3300 rpm. and i have no idea why.

what would cause that? please help!

Maybe your not doing it right. You jump the service plug then turn the ignition to ON, you dont start the car.

i am getting code 16 fuel injection system.

i checked my main relay and that is working. i am getting fuel pressure which is being indicated by the car starting and my fuel pressure gauge reading what it did before.

my car will not hold a charge. i have to always jump it to start it. alternator? battery?

what else can i check?
