Default need help ASAP...

i tried to install my camber kit for 01 accord.....well....got the wheels off....removed the clip on the upper ball joint...removed the screw...but how the heck do you remove the upper ball joint itself...the instructions that came with my progress camber kit didnt give specific details....i usually feel more confident with detailed instructions...but how do to knock it out...is it a special tool?...i believe the only way to get the upper ball joint out is to pop it UP...theres no way i think to removed it downwards...

thanks alot

i believe you can use a C clamp to get it out. Did they replace that joint too, or do you have to reuse it?

Don't hit it from the bottom up. Hit it straight (just below the joint).

Yeah, you have to just keep hitting it man. Try to stabilize the upper control arm as much as you can, then hit the bottom. That is the only way I did it/know how without having the special tool to get it out. Good luck

Go to autozone, borrow the ball joint tool. It's looks like a heavy duty c-clamp with several adapters.

Some people use an air hammer to remove the ball joint and they use a brass hammer to install it. I've tried it this way but it feels too much like work...
