Default Installed neuspeed race springs ... rear passenger side sits higher than driver side

I just installed some neuspeed race springs on my 90 crx si. The rear passenger's side spring sits higher than driver's side. The springs look seated properly in the perches of my koni yellows (they were on the car before i swapped springs). Also, the perches are on the same slot on both sides. Anybody have any ideas to make the drop even? Thanks

Have you driven it yet? Drive it for a while, give it some time to settle...

Other than that, all I can say is that I have Neuspeed sports on Bilsteins and the same thing happened. Actually, my passenger side is completely higher than the driver, both front and rear. I'm looking into coilovers so that I can have an even drop.

Same problem here only I've got Eibach sportlines in the rear with tokico illuminas.
Maybe try switching pass. spring with driver side and see what happens.

sportlines on bisteins here, same thing. passenger rr sits higher

i thought about relocating the battery to that corner to even it out but i think im just going to go with some coilovers

everybody

think about it.... the drivers side is obviously gonna sit lower due to the fact that you sit there and that side has more weight on it 99% of the time....

Well if you would have read the first post he said that he JUST installed them so even driving them around the block or something shouldnt where them like that that fast. Sure I would agree with you if he said "hey I have had this setup on my car for about a year now and never noticed it but now that I am looking at it the passenger side rear sits higher than the drivers side rear". No he is saying he just installed them so there shouldnt be the extra wear from a driver when you just installed them....

I believe this was intended....and the engineers put more weight on the left hand side.

If you had a JDM CRX, where the car was designed for, you would be sitting on the right hand side...and the car would be balanced when a single driver were in the car.

Just my thought

I got the same prob, except i have Sprint RX's. Rear passenger side sits higher than everything else, so i cut off 1 dead coil and now everythings nice and even. In the future im planning to get some groun control coilovers so i can compensate any unevenness (is that even a word )

I think it has to do with corner balancing. The higher a corner sits the more 'weight' is put on it. I could be way off but thats my guess.

its normal even stock springs r not perfect
but it should not be more than 1.5 inch difference
(left to right )
just take them out and cut alittle off!

since the springs are still new, will squeezing the spring (with a floor jack) cause it to settle lower?

Well seeing that your having the problems with the Neuspeed race springs (which I just got) I think I might end up just going with the Neuspeed Koni Yellows. They have 5 adjustments compared to the normal Koni yellows 3 so I might be able to adjust the shock for enough to make the gap go away...That is if I do infact have a problem when I put the springs on??

Yeah but with the Koni Yellows the perch itself is adjustable so your able to lower the car an addition amount through the perch. Im not talking about the firmness settings.

Have you tried adjusting the driver's side front up? if you raise it up it should put more weight down on the right rear. I bet if you compare the fronts they aren't level either.

Give them a few weeks to settle...if they don't even out, you possibly could a jacked susp. component on the higher side. All my rides that sat on non-adjustable springs were even...then again the susp. components were in Day 1 condition.

Adjusting Illumina's dampening rate will not affect ride height at all.

carrcarr: yup. The front and rear springs are in the right positions.

crxbart: the fronts are pretty even

update:

i swapped the rear left and right springs and the ride height didn't change.

Is it possible for the trailing arm and the upper arm not moving freely to cause one side to sit higher? When i tried putting weight on the higher side it didn't push down much (but i'm guessing the konis have something to do with it). Thanks for the replies guys.

i had the exact same setup on my crx... neuspeed race and koni yellows... at first i was pissed after dishing out all that money and it sit weird on the rear passenger side... but after talking to others ive found that most everyone that uses springs has this problem... the only way i know to fix it is to use coilovers... ive talked to my teacher about this and he said that its just due to the unibody tweaking over time

It's been a week and still no difference.

does neuspeed have a warranty on the springs? I couldn't find any info.. Would i be able to take it back to the store i bought them from for a replacement?
