WHO WILL WIN????
THis guy at work wants to race me for a grand. He owns a 92 civic coupe with d16z6 with intake and headers. I own a 90 civic hatch si with my stock d16a6 with just an intake :-( WHo do you think will win this race????? I know wont stand a chance but what do you guys think?????

Ive raced a couple of EX coupes with bolt ons have have taken them in my 88 CRX DX with MPFI only. It should all comes down to the drivers. Ive run a best of 10.6 in the 1/8th, so if youve ran your car try comparing them. I say run him for one hundred, not a thousand

I raced a friend who had a 98 EX coupe (D16Y8) w/ I/H/E/Hi flo cat/AEM alternator pulley & a passenger in my 91 Si w/ the stock A6 w/ just an intake and exhaust & only me (no passenger) and I took him by about 1/2 a car, so it will probably come down to whoever launches & shift's better, but I wouldn't risk 1k on it w/o a bottle in the hatch

It doesnt matter who wins, because your both slow.
Its like racing a geo metro against a festiva.
(btw, the hatch will easily take the coupe if the motor is strong)

well if they can guarantee you $1000 in the event that you win the race, maybe by some sort of written contract...then i say throw down your credit card, get your car hooked up with nitrous or whatever for about $500 then reap the $500 dollars profit.
However being that you are seriously asking this question (and i am just as dumb for prolonging this post) then i'm sure something would go horribly wrong and the $1K would be in his hands at the end.
Smart thing to do is just stay away.

Don't race him, you'll miss 3rd gear, i'm telling you. it's just going to bounce on the rev limiter and then youll say **** then put it in 3rd then he'll be ahead of you with his hazards on.

the Z6 might be putting 15 more hp to the ground that what u do.... he will win.... unless he misses a gear and u pass him....
