Another new part! Yay! =)
So here's the next "toy" in the continuing saga...

Hmm..which would you rather take?
I was quite impressed with the finish of the Skunk2 gears - very nice.
I compared the stock cam gear with the Skunk2 back-to-back and the keyway as well as the teeth line up perfectly...so they are dead on accurate!
Much ligher as well...the stock cam gear weighs 11.7 ounces while the Skunk2 weighs 7.5 ounces!

Cool,
Maybe that flaw people talk about was from an older production run.
I love mine as well: Light and six bolts. I'm a little paranoid after my AEMs slipped and bent all my valves
I know I know, bolts don't matter, use loctite anyway

Actually I bought these locally from Versus Motorsports.
I was going to order them...but I didnt have the patients to wait...it would have saved me $12 though.
The UPS guy did drop off another package yesterday though - my GSR differential to go with the GSR gears

Im not sure if there is anything to gain from the lighter gears.
There is less drag on the valvetrain so it might give help out a little bit.

What are they made out of?
Which ones used to decompose>? The first AEM's. I can't remember. But some of them are aluminum with a steel face for the belt to touch, or something like that. What materials were failing and on which cam gears?
Thanks,
Karl
