Everytime I start my car, the engine light blinks 5 times and then shuts off. Before I take it to the dealer, can anyone tell me what code its throwing? How are the blinks for the obdII diagnosed for the ecu codes chart? 5 blinks = ?????

the light that's blinking is the maintainence required light, not the CEL light.

it just means you need to get your oil changed. If you've changed your oil recently, to reset the indicator, turn the key to the accessory positiion (the first detent as you turn the key), press the trip odometer button and hold it, turn the key to the on position (the 2nd detent) but do not start the car, the light will come on, blink a few times, then go away. Turn off the car, start the car again and there should be no more light.
