Who has more pics of these EDM seats? (Black leather, red stitching, etc - pic included)

I was thinking user REX VT might have some...anybody else have some better shots of these seats for detail purposes? I'm thinking of having one or both of my seats recovered to look like this.
Thanks in advance -
Alex
Bah, i havent set up my pic hosting, just copy and paste this one:

Cool, thanks...here's the one you just put up:

Here's another one I found:

I might, if I have it done, do a variation on the theme. I want it to be black material, whether leather or otherwise, with red stitching on most if not all seams, and of course, the embroidered "CRX" logo minus the "VTEC", since D16A6's don't have VTEC.
Suggestions?
Oh, and does anyone know what the stock bolster fabric is called on the CRX Si seats? Is that Jaquard, or what is it?
Alex

hopefully this car is just a for fun car and not one that you want to auto-x, etc.? if you think you might auto-x this car, do not, and i repeat, DO NOT get leather seats. they are like sitting on one of those saucer sleds in the snow...

Yeah, I know....that's why I'm thinking of going with a non-leather material, or using a combination of both, or maybe some perforated leather, or...or...yeah, you get the picture.
I just don't know what other fabric types there are out there. I know there's tweed, but I think it's ugly since it inherently has other colors mixed in. I wish I knew what the stock bolster fabric was called, because if the whole seat was made of that, it would be grippy and comfy.
I'm also thinking of just doing the passenger side, and going with a Forza or an Ultra for a driver's seat.
Oh, and if I ever auto-x the car, I'm screwed as far as classes go, thanks to my little fiberglass sunroof plug...

i think the type r seat material is alcantera. i have no clue if that is right, but that word popped into my head when i read your post, so i went with it.
as for the auto-x thin, if you do go out there, have fun...that's always the main objective. if you get into it more, you'll find a way to get your car class'd in a competitive class.

Lee - you mean as in my interior in particular, or the rest of the EDM interior, or all CRX interiors altogether? I think in my car, it'll at least go with my red and black Sparco wheel, and my black spoon shift **** that's not on, and possibly an ITR-style shift boot down the road...then the interior will be done.
I like the style and the look - but the shiny, slippery leather feel doesn't appeal to me - which is why I'd rather do it in some sort of durable black cloth.
I have seen some reupholstery schemes that others did, with brighter colors and whatnot, and that doesn't appeal to me either. But I love the stock seats, I just want them to look/feel a little bit nicer.

Its just does not match up well..
black and red stitching, with black and gray door panels, dash, carpet and everything...
If I was re-doig my seats I would have foam added to the bolsters and less in the butt, with colors to match the rest of the interior, black and grey..
Or just get black race seats...
Its just my opinion though.. what floats your boat won't sink mine..

Thinking about the OEM-style two tone look as well, black bolsters and gray center....but I don't really like the stripes on the stock seats. I do like the embroidered "CRX" logo on the EDM seats. It's not cheesy to me, as long as it is the same size as it is on the EDM seats.
I think black, gray (similar to the other grays in the CRX), and red stitching would go fine together...?
Who knows though, it'll probably never happen anyway. It's just a thought.

Well I have the JDM seats with the "CR-X" logo paisted on..
with the black sides and the red lined middle.. but I have always liked the grey middles more..
It looks great, the red is subtle....and faded possibly.
Re-apolstering seats is about $250 a seat I think... thats not too bad..
kinda makes the idea of selling si seats and buying races seats a hard desicion..
I think I am goin to end up buying race seats and keeping what I have for long trips..

If I had that kind of $ on hand, I don't know what I'd do...besides, I don't like all red seats...the car itself is already red, so I'd go with black...I like the USDM ITR's with the red stitching on the alcantra that Keithv was talking about...

Go with which, USDM ITR's, or EDM style CRX seats? And cheaper than what, reupholstering my seats?

go with the usdm itr seats, they are not way expensive, and plus your dont want them leather, like the edm ones... If you reupholster your seats to match the edm ones in cloth it might be a little more expensive because of the stitching of the crx logo on the cloth....but they would look nice...i give you that much....so let us know what you go with...

in Europe and I have seen some peeps that have some in Canada, if i remember correctly.....not trying to be a smartass...but they cost a grip....because they are kinda rare i guess....

Know what? I just looked at some ads for USDM ITR Recaros...and I had them pictured different in my head. I don't like them as much as the CRX seats - they seem to have less bolstering in all areas. I wouldn't spend even $400 on those seats...
I'd much rather have mine re-covered, or even just get one re-covered (or restuffed, since the covers aren't torn or ripping...but I can feel the body of the seat where the foam is broken down) and get one racing seat for the driver side.
I dunno - just tossing ideas around while looking at rare seats.

i know how your feel dood...i have civic si....and i love the seats because they feel good to sit in....and racing seats cost a little bit too much for me at the moment....so i would stick with the stock ones....
alex, i say reupholster your seats. i think the pro is 2 fold...
1. you get basically a BRAND NEW seat for less than it will cost you to buy a new seat
2. you get seats that you know fit in your car without modification.
those are my thoughts on the situation.

Both very true, exactly how I was looking at the situation. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone...
There's nothing wrong with the seats except that I can feel where the foam is breaking away from the inner structure on a large portion of the driver's seat bolster and a smaller part of the passenger seat bolster.
