my v-afc controller isnt mounted permenently it has suction cups so i could put it in my glove box when im not using it and one day i slammed the brakes it flew and banged on the window. and a week has passed by now and code 45 came up to rich or too lean. also yesterday i got my second o2 sensore put in and it was running good till late today wen the code poped up. well see i went to see my v-afc controller to see how lean it is and its only -8 and its not like that all the way through, no more than that. but when i was holding it, it was realy hot, not enough to burn but pretty warm. so i dont know if its the v-afc controller messed up or just my car is too lean.
but my question for you v-afc owners is does your controller get warm ? cause when i installed it i remember it being warm but not like how it was today.
or do you think since my second o2 sensore is put in its reading it?
thanks in advance

about the code 45: my ITR did the same thing (i also have a vafc, don't know if that was the problem or not) but i reset the ecu, and it hasn't thrown the code since. don't know if it just had a surge or what?
but try that first and see if it still throws a code 45
about being warm... yes, it'll get warm, but i dunno about how hot u said it was... sure it didn't sit out in the sun?

now it was in the glove box all day,
also i read the manual and it said that mild heat is not unusual, just if it smells like its burning and smoke comes out, i reset the ecu too
thanks for the reply

I got code 45 right after dynoing tuning. Turns out the partial throttle settings were set too lean, after setting back to 'flat' code went away. Id say check the partial throttle settings, maybe something got changed when it banged the window.
Yes, mine gets warm too, a little warmer than Id think itd get, but Ive had no problems...
