Default good idea or not?

My friend has an ITR exhaust cam laying around and I was wondering if it was worth putting in on a 1st gen b16 without changing the springs or anything for now? Will it be safe and will it make a difference at all or should I save me trouble of taking off the stock one and stuff?
Thanks

I slapped my ITR cams without upgrading my valve train, car runs great!

I am assuming that the ITR cams are taller then what you putting in..

and your now more likely to float a valve then before, so you may want to watch how high you rev your motor, if you take it into the red on a regular basis..
