my clutch is sticking half way up on my 94 accord
my clutch is sticking half way up on my accord. this happens after the point of engagement, which is about 1/4 way up, but it just stick whenever i release it. the spring pulls it up after a time though, or i pull it up with my foot, but when i am releasing the clutch. you can actually feel like it is still stuck, even when the spring brings it back up, because you can push it down with your finger up to the point where it gets stuck which is about half way down.
i was wondering if this could be caused by my throw out bearing going bad?
this started happening on sunday. tuesday when i checked my clutch fluid, i saw that the float was at the very bottom, i do not think it had gotten totally empty as yet though. i refilled it, but nothing changed. i was wondering if there might be air in the system when the level got low?
when i look around the region where the clutch is on the transmission, i can see that it is a bit damp. i am wondering if it might be leaking.
is this in anyway symptoms of my clutch going out?
what can i do to try to fix the problem?

Keep a close watch on the reservoir to see if it goes down. Then you know it's leaking even if you can't find the leak. It can leak alongside the piston rod in the slave. It can leak alongside the piston rod in the master, then it would get wet under the carpeting by the pedal.
I'd bleed it first, just because you said there's a chance that air got in...

i was about to bleed the brake awhile ago when i realized that the leak is too bad. i parked the car for about 10 mins and there was a large puddle under the car. it is leaking at the release cylinder (slave cylinder). is there a way i can fix it or do i have to change it?

I never had any luck when I looked for a rebuild kit for my master cylinder, but never had to do a slave. If you can even find a kit for the slave, it'll only work if the bore is still OK.
at honda, it cost $68, but it cost $21 at pepboys with a lifetime guarantee. i am thinking strongly of buying the pepboys one.
what do you think?
