what makes the "abs" light come on
mine came on couple minutes ago and when i turned the car off and turned it back on it didnt come back on and has stayed off, is it a reminder to do something or is somethign broken? whats goin on
not sure, mighta been a glitch of some sort, if it turns out you need absstuff let me know , i hav mine sitting upstairs in my garage .
no not really any hard driving lately, and it defitnily has been raining,so you think that might have something to do with it, its never done it before and hasnt come back on today and the car is acting fine
Any chance you may have left the ebrake up a click or two. If it is engaged and you start driving around, it will automagically disable the abs and cause the light to appear.
I'm under the belief that when you're using the dyno it causes an ABS code. You see you have your two back wheels that aren't moving, whereas the two fronts are spinning around of up to ~110mph, you think the ABS computer believes this to be within the "normal" parameters....I think not, there is a reason the ABS light comes on when you're using the dyno, and why it goes off when you drive it on the street after that...

Austin, while I understand and agree that in theory the ABS light should come on while on the dyno, in practice I have never seen this happen. I can count at least ten cars that I have seen on the dyno, including my own, and never once did the ABS light come on. (all integras with ABS) Why?

Mine has come on every time...the last dyno day I did there were quite a few cars that had ABS light on after the runs.

3G Integra's have this problem from time to time. Even stock mine did it occasionally. It's just one of the fluke things. LoL, my ABS light is constantly on unfortunately. Thats what happens when you put a JDM engine in a USDM car when the engine has no ABS.

Yep, just short the service connector and read away.

It's not quite the same as reading the CEL.
There is a category and then a sub code. IE if you get 6 longs and then 8 shorts, its not 68, its Cat 6, #8. The helms outlines the process for reaading the code though
