275Performance's CVCC
This is our CVCC. We are about to start overhauling the entire car. New paint, rebuild motor, etc. Just some shots of the car. Its previous owner had done quite well with the car, we hope to inprove on it.
.I plan to do a lot of things different then how they were set up, so we should see some good results with it.
The Chassis
Front end shot
Partial cage shot (kirk Racing cage
)
Block
Block 2
Rods, rod bolts, and bearings
Hope to have the motor done and ready for our driver's school in Nov. here.

Now get a datsun 510 to match
Best of luck on the project</TD></TR></TABLE>
Theres actually a relative buttload of 510s here in the southeast. We had 4 of them at Roebling in April running ITC. One of the fastest G Prod cars in the country is a 510.
In ITC form they have weak brakes and extremely weak aero (which kills top end). But they kill the Hondas on torque. So they are tough on tracks like Barber (hilly, with no long straights) and Roebling (favors RWD).
Theres just too many of the things buzzing around me for me to be able to think of them as old skool.
You guys planning to bring that thing down to Road Atlanta or Barber? Out of region for you, but actually not too far, and the tracks and competition are definately worth it.

But a dollar bill would cover up the whole deck
This is going to be driven by my dad, he's currently driving his 240sx in stock class AutoX. We have a driver's school in Nov. we're shooting for.
I am also going to be doing a '79 civic. Its widebody with 12 point cage, just no motor
Kinda hard finding the 1200cc motor, so thinking of going Super Modified Class and dropping a D16z6 in.
thanks

hey thats really nice, looks like a good find. I'm working on mine right now, waiting on some mounts, but i'm going the ITB's w/ a black top zc, and moving into a b16/b20 in the future.

I hope for it to be running soon, but i keep saying that in hopes that i can get the motor welded in. I'm going to run mine on a road cource they are building up here in fernley, just like Laguna/buttonwillow/ect, can't wait to hit the track and see some more up dates on this project

AHHH!!! Pick up that piston off the ground! Just seeing it there makes me cringe!
(I'm probably just being a moron, but I don't think you want to scratch that.)
EDIT: I love the car. Good luck with it!

In the mid 70's, my parents purchased a yellow cvcc wagon.... Between that and our '73 Corolla 2-door, I had to beat back all the high school babes with a stick.
My high school gave away a '79 Civic for a raffle (and that was only 7-8 years ago) with a big stereo and gold paint. The bass player from a band I was in won it. That guy was pimpin' yo.
