I have a 1998 prelude with 90k. I use it to commute daily . I do not abuse the car nor neglect it from general maintenance. I have been noticing a clunking on the transmission side of the vehicle but the funny part is the car drives normaly shifts smoothly and the noise goes away only when in a gear. I have yet brought the car to my dealership due to time constraints.

Has anyone with or w/o sport shift preludes experienced this? If so what was it. I explained to my friend who is prof. honda mech. and he tells me it might be a loose torque converter bolt? or transmission pump? wtf?

If anyone has experinced this and know what the problem is, IM or reply please!!!
I don;t want to keep driving the if its a serious situation.

it's probably your SS starting to fail. some here have said that honda extended the warranty on the SS to 100K, because it's a worthless, constantly failing POS...
