Spark plugs soaked in oil and white smoke! help!!
Today i changed my valve cover to a new one (old one was cracked)..... after school i went home to check it out again and when i pulled out my spark plug wires it was soaked with oil and when i look down into the cyclinders i find oil was filled up all i could see was the ends of the spark plugs. Then i cleaned it all off and took the valve cover off to check whats going on then i fired it up lots of white smoke came out of my exhaust but still runs fine... what could this be?? help!!
should i just try to valve gasket set first... well im pretty sure i need that. this valve cover was from this Japanese Import place and they just took my valve cover off and swapped it with mine... its wierd because this all happened when i changed the valve cover

did you pull your plugs out at any time? when it happened to me, i tried to suck out as much oil as i could before i pulled the plugs, but some oil still got in. it was more of a light greyish color.... just let it burn off. if its really white.. then probably headgasket (doh!)
white smoke is a sign of a headgasket failure, check your coolant for signs of oil and check your oil for signs of water. if you see anything then there is your problem. i just finished a blown headgasket on a neon and it aint pretty, lots of oil changes and coolant flushing, and then there is the work just to replace the head gasket. good luck
