What are the best coilovers out there?
I just want to know who makes the best adjustable coilover set out there? Tokico, H&R, etc...
I know I'll be spending like $1000 for the system and I want the best. It's for my 94 Turbo LS (with a quaife).
Please give me all +/- of all systems like how easy to adjust height, damping force, and if wheel hop is gone. Thanks.

I want to do both. I blew up my tranny a couple of weeks ago at the track because I got MAD wheel hop. I shattered my dif and blew it right through the tranny case. I then upgraded to the quaife
I just want to get the best traction on the track and street.

Well, I have all the engine/tranny and even the sway bar poly bushings installed and they hop like crazy. I'm running on brand new Yokohama A520's 215 40 17, with Ebiach springs on STOCK SHOCKS
I think the stockers are just about dead being slammed for almost 2 years. I just want to upgrade the suspension to the max, since I have already done everything to the motor.

Ithink the sidewall on the Yoko might be too stiff. Try a drag radial and see if that helps.
Sorry I am not answering your original question, but I think the tires will help you the most.

For $1000 you won't get the best. You can maybe pick up some Konis with some GC coilover sleeves but that's about it. Mind you, it's a damn good setup.
If you "want the best" as you put it you're looking at over $5000 for maybe some Penske or Ohlins. And even that's not absolute top of the line.

$5000 !!!
I've been looking around and I like the Apexi N1 system. Here is the info on it:
"N-1 Damper Systems provide awesome driver feedback and response, as well as a high level of tuning flexibility. Born from the grueling N-1 Endurance Race Series, the N-1 Dampers feature adjustable spring perches and adjustable lower collars so that ride height can be changed without affecting the length of the damper stroke. The shock absorber is a gas-charged, short-case, short-stroke, monotube design that can be fine-tuned with its 13-step ride adjustment settings. With the proper equipment and technical knowledge, the dampers can be disassembled, revalved and rebuilt to suit the requirements of hardcore suspension gurus. The system also includes high-performance upper pillow mounts (unless indicated otherwise) to complete this comprehensive damper system. N-1 Damper Systems use the highest quality materials and are manufactured in-house at Apexi's Fuji, Japan factory to tightly monitor quality control and ensure years of reliable service."
Anyone have these yet? What I like about them is the spring is on a separate perch from the height adjustment perch. So you can lower your car and raise it w/o affecting the spring rate. AND the system has adjustable shocks too (I think). What do you think?

You shouldn't read too much into the advertisers pitch.
This kind of advertising really offends me. I much prefer cold hard numbers. I love it when "high performance" coilovers don't even tell you what spring rates they use.
Out of personal preference I would say Zeal (I should have my set installed by September) because the company is much more performance oriented then looks. Only problem is they run over $1000 but might be worth it. I hope to have a review comparing Tiens to Zeals in the next month or so.
Koni/Ground Control setup can do this plus you can chose custom spring rates. If it wasn't for the great deal I'm getting on the Zeal suspension I would have gone Koni/GC

ummm, i dunno about all that stuff, if it was me i'd go tein or lowdown's prob.... but i dunno...
about your wheel hop... don't race on your nice rims and tires, get some 14's and slap some nitto 555r drag radials on them... dot approved so you can drive them to the track. that should help a lot... should help your times too
