MY SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING IT WENT ON AND OFF FOR A HILE JUMPING THEN IT DONT WORK. IVE CHANGED THE VSS AND THE GAUGE CLUSTER STILL NOTHING? IVE FOLLOWED THE WIRE FROM THE VSS TO CLUSTER THEN TO THE ECU STILL NOTHING EVERYTHING SEEMD FINE. RAN OUT OF THING TO DO KNOW VTEC DONT WORK MY FUEL INJECTOR DURATION IS MESSED UP AND ITS ******* WITH A BUNCH OF **** MAKING IT RUN WEIRD ANYONE HAVE A PROBLOM LIKE THIS BEFORE??? IF SO PLEASE STATE SOLOUTION OR HELL ANY IDEAS PLEASE STATE THEM!!! THANKS

what kind of engine are you running? ECU?

 

i have a d16y8 engine with the stock obd2 ecu

 

caps=yelling
bad grammer and no punctuation=no reply
try again=decent help

 

vtec need the car to be a certain speed for it to activate as well as rpm. since your not get the vss singnal vtec is not working

check to see if your plug for the vss is dirty or bad that was my problem

 

heres a though...since u replace the vss already...asumming theres nothing wrong w. the vss...take it out reach ur hand in the small hole..see if u could feel where the shaft of the speed sensor meets up..its should be a 3 groove cut..big *** ring that goes around the differential..when they meet it spins the vss and thats how ur car get its speed...it should be tight no movement what so ever...and recheck everything..again...fuses too..gl
