my friend drives a 91 accord when he starts the engine you would hear a very very loud squeal near the trans and the block and near the starter and i have no clue what it could be. He thinks it's the starter but im not too sure about that and when you start the car up it dies out right away. He has recently replaced his crank pulley every since then it started happening he did take out the crank pulley back out and tourqued them to factory spec but still it still screams very loud and dies out right away.
Any help will be greatly apperciated. THANKS..

 

belts

check the tension on the belts

spray some belt dressing on the pulleys as well

make sure the belts arent glazed either.
