Default question on ctr ep3 lip kit

ok i want to know from someone who knows for sure that the ep3 lip kit wont fit a us spec ep3. How much shorter is the jdm bumper? and if you have to use the jdm bumpers where can i purchase them for a reasonable price. id hardly call 1100.00 for front n rear bumper reasonable and then spend 900 on front and rear lips. heck my mugen front n sides cost that for my dc5 so i am really trying to find out if there is either 1) cheap place to buy the bumpers, and ill go with mugen kit. 2) how hard to modify jdm lip to fit us bumper

I'm sorry, I just don't like that kit (GFX). You know coming from honda its going to be pricy anyway, I'd just spend a little more for the JDM kit. (jmo)

George Knighton, are you talking about bumper replacements as well as the lips and side skirts for 2g's?

Just FYI, if any one is looking for just the JDM fron bumper. The guys @ jdmhondaparts quoted me $450 + s&h.

I have the JDM front bumper and belive me, the JDM lip wont fit the USDM bumper. The shop had to cut notches in the stock rebar about 2" deep so it could be pushed back far enough to fit the JDM bumper. I have pics of the modded rebar if you want to see.

The stock rebar can also be removed or replaced by the JDM one. The JDM rebar is about 150 from http://www.fizzautosports.com or http://www.poleposition.com

It was on backorder and I was told it would be a 8 week wait for the bar, so I just told the shop to mod the stock one.

Thats not as bad as what I had in my head, sucks you've gotta do that to get it to work though.

I hear Mugen is coming out w/a lip that will fit the USDM bumper. Since I'm a long way off from getting into the cosmetics of my car. Maybe, MAYBE Mugen will have that out by then. Do you have any more shots of your car complete? I think I've seen the one thread (mountain roads) You got wheels since then?
